The people have answered! Pumpkin pop-tarts seemed to be the recipe that most of you wanted to see. For those of you that voted for the pumpkin beer cheese pretzel bread, don't worry, it coming too.

Growing up in the 90's and living in a very busy household, we ate more than our share of pop-tarts. The brown sugar were my all-time favorite. With the change of seasons, I wanted a treat that was nostalgic but also fitting for the season. Alas, the pumpkin maple pop-tart.

ingredients

- 1/2 c pumpkin puree

-1/2 c brown sugar packed

3/4tsp maple flavor

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (extra to sprinkle on top)

1/2 cup powder sugar

1/2 tbsp vanilla almond milk (or reg milk)

pie crust-you can use your favorite pie crust recipe or store bought

1. Pre-heat oven to 350.

2.In a bowl, mix pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar together. set aside.

3. roll out your pie crust, very thin, and then cut into even rectangles.

4. place small amount of pumpkin mixture into center of rectangle-leave enough space to crimp around edges.

5. place another rectangle on top of mixture and crimp around edges with a fork. Repeat this step until all the pie crust and mixture has been used.

6. place poptarts evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake fpr approx 10min until crust is golden.

7. In a separate bowl, mix powdered sugar, almond milk and maple flavoring with a whisk and spread/drizzle over pop-tarts once they have cooled.

The final result! A tasty treat suitable for fall and winter weather. Enjoy!
